In this solo project, I set out to create an enchanting and playful game set in a winter wonderland. The central concept of the game was to allow players to take control of a cap, which I meticulously designed in Autodesk Maya, and use it to interact with the game world, particularly by throwing it onto whimsical fox characters, causing them to disappear in a magical manner.
My primary mission was to design an engaging and enjoyable gameplay experience that would transport players to a winter wonderland filled with wonder and charm.
I leveraged my 3D modeling skills to create a visually appealing cap as a central game element. Attention to detail was crucial to make the cap both realistic and captivating. I aimed to create a unique and intuitive interaction system that allowed players to interact with the fox characters using the cap as their primary tool.
Challenges and Solutions: Creating a game that combines 3D modeling with engaging gameplay presented challenges, such as ensuring the cap's physics and interactions felt natural and that the fox characters' animations were seamless. To overcome these challenges, I iteratively refined the game mechanics, physics, and animations while seeking input from playtesters.
