A team project the Digital Twin of School was a collaborative endeavor aimed at creating a dynamic and interactive digital twin of a school environment. It included 3D modelling elements for virtual representation and can be used to understand how a physical object will react in different environments, how it interacts with other objects, and how it can be improved.
My responsibilities included maintaining the project's GitHub repository, ensuring version control, and collaborating with team members on code integration. I also took charge of placing 3D objects within the digital twin, utilizing tools like Maya to create and modify various assets. This involved modeling and texturing objects like classrooms, corridors, and outdoor spaces. Throughout the project, I successfully managed GitHub activities, resolved conflicts, and streamlined our collaborative workflow. The Digital Twin of the school project has not only enhanced the school's visualization but also facilitated better planning and decision-making for our team.
Throughout the project, I encountered several challenges, including complex 3D modeling tasks, intricate data integration requirements, and the need for seamless GitHub collaboration. These challenges were met with innovative solutions, creative problem-solving, and effective communication with team members. Overcoming these obstacles not only strengthened my technical skills but also enhanced our project's overall quality.
