VR sequence training warehouse for simulation of training the mining equipment developed for real customer Epiroc and represents a cutting-edge application of virtual reality (VR) technology in the field of industrial training. This immersive training solution was created within a team effort, and it addresses the critical need for effective and safe training methods in the mining industry. The project includes a feedback mechanism that evaluates trainee performance, offering real-time feedback and performance analytics to help track progress and identify areas for improvement.
As a member of the development team, my contributions to this project encompassed a range of responsibilities such as Product Owner, Unity development where I played a role in developing the VR application using the Unity game engine along with GitHub collaboration.
User Interface (UI) was designed and implemented the VR user interface, making it intuitive and user-friendly for trainees to navigate through the training sequences.
Developing a VR sequence training room for mining equipment presented unique challenges, such as creating realistic equipment simulations, optimizing performance for VR, and ensuring trainee engagement.
